Brenda,
Thanks for joining the group..... feel free to contribute with ideas or questions.
I'll try to answer your questions:
1. What was your goal in creating this network?
My main goal is to create central place to share ideas on how technology can be integrated in the classroom. We can all learn so much from each other.

2. Assuming your network is still growing, how successful has it been so far?
The growth has been slow and unfortunately people I have invited are not as active as I hoped.

3. What frustrations have you experienced with your social network, if any?
My main frustration was to find that many school districts (mine being included) web filters block all of the Ning networks. I love the flexibility Ning has, but many of their networks have questionable content.
4. What advice can you give to other educators starting up their own social network?
Do research to find out if it is being blocked. Especially for your audience, in my experience I invited many people from my district and they can't access it from our school.
What is the purpose of your network and make sure you can do you want in it.
Lastly ease of use: that is my favorite feature in Ning.... it is so easy to figure out, even beginners can do it. Usually that is the kind of audience I target...

I hope this helps....

It is neither an easy task to decide where to buy dissertation from nor ask for an advice on it. Judgmental as advisors may be, they regard buying dissertation online unethical which is entirely a… Continue

Great IT service

Like most Ops managers, I’ve come across and dealt with my fair share of IT disasters. I’ve gone the route of hiring an in-house staff, only to realize that it exhausted my budget and half the time I was paying for employees to sit around and wait for a disaster to strike. I’ve also gone the route of hiring an outside company to run my IT support, again only to find that I was being overcharged at every turn and I had no REAL immediate support, more like we were put into a “Queue” and when our n… Continue
